Go before the snow
Nebo News
By Debbie Daugherty, Nebo Correspondnet
Greetings to everyone, once again, from the west end of Hopkins County. As I am writing this column, we are gearing up for another snowstorm, so back to the grocery store with 1,987 other people. Smile. Stay safe, warm and fed.
Bobby and Debbie Offutt are grandparents. Baby Braelyn Renea came into the world on Tuesday, Jan. 26. She weighed 7 lbs. 9 ozs. and was 20 inches long. Braelyn's parents are Travis Offutt and Brittney Thomas. Braelyn has a big brother, Caleb Burge. Grandma Debbie says she has a head full of black hair and is beautiful. (Well, of course). Braelyn's other grandparents are Steve and Tammy Taylor and Grady Thomas. Great-grandmother is my buddy Dean Branson. Congratulations to everyone.
Matt and Mary Carol Crook are parents again. Baby Addie Rose Crook was born on Tuesday, Jan. 26. She weighed 8 lbs. 2 ozs. and was 193/4 inches long. Addie was welcomed home by big sister Chloe. We saw the proud grandparents Freddie and Connie Crook tonight and they were just coming home from Lexington where they spent time with little Addie. Of course, Grandma had pictures and she is a cutie pie. Congratulations to all the family.
I want to extend my sympathy to Shera (Dame) Cates and her family due to the recent death of her brother Buddy. I also want to extend my sympathy to the family of Lanny Hillyard, who passed away last week. He was a cousin to Vanna Clardy, Linda Wyatt and Paula Jessup.
Birthday wishes go out to Larry Clardy, Jan. 25, Bruce Higbee, Jan. 25, Sue Raymer, Jan. 25, Bro. James Burden, Jan. 28, Samantha and Cassie Rodgers, Jan. 28, Laura Wilson, Jan. 20, Dana Ball, Jan. 21, Trevor Rhye, Jan. 21, Faith Corbett, Jan. 29 and Vickie (Capps) Williams, Jan. 27. I hope everyone enjoyed their special day.
Dianna Hohimer had surgery last week. I hope she is doing a lot better. Bro. Marvin Campbell, along with daughter Brenda Arnold and granddaughter Vickie Dickerson, took a trip over to Evansville to do some shopping last week.
Jeff and Julie Jones enjoyed a couple of days out of town (even if it did have something to do with farming soybeans). Smile.
Have a great week and keep reminding yourself that spring is around the corner -- somewhere.
