Abigail V. Rayner MD


Abigail V. Rayner MD, a family physician from Madisonville, has completed continuing medical education requirements to retain active membership in the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), the national association of family doctors.

AAFP members are required to complete a minimum of 150 hours of accredited continuing medical study every three years.

The Academy, with 89,400 members, is one of the largest medical specialty organizations in the country. It was the first national medical group to require continuing medical education for its members, thus ensuring their continuing medical expertise.

Rayner was also certified in geriatrics, a subspecialty of family practice that requires recertification every 10 years.
