I hope that everyone had a awesome week My grandson, as well as my niece, Natalie Mangum, and I went to see the powerlifting competition at North Saturday. It was quite entertaining. Nothing of what I was expecting so we really enjoyed our selves. I was extremely glad when North took home everything in all divisions.

My son lifts for North, and I must admit when he first wanted to join I couldn't understand why. Why would he want to go up there just to show how strong he was when it has nothing to do with brains, but I reckon it isn't like that at all. Remember you're never too old to learn new things. I did.

Well, we would like to congratulate Jon Hall on his marriage, after they had to postpone their wedding because Jon was not able to come home, due to the hurricane that tore through Pensacola, and all sailors where held over and not allowed to leave. When Jon did finally get to escape the destruction of Pensacola, he was married. Jonathan Hall, son of David and Gayle Hall, was married to Eva Womack, daughter of Jerry and Patricia Womack, Dec. 21 at Silent Run Baptist Church. After the wedding, the couple spent their honeymoon at the Great Smoky Mountains. They returned home safely in all that snow in time for Christmas with their families. They will be living in Oceana, Va., where Jonathan is stationed in the U.S. Navy. Congratulations, Jon and Eva, may you have the best marriage possible. God be with you both.

We would like to wish Sarah Russ a happy third birthday. Sarah's birthday was on March 2, and she is the daughter of Donna and Cooter "Alvin" Russ.

Happy birthday to my brother, Robert Mangum, who celebrated his birthday on March 3. Happy birthday, bubby. We love ya.

Happy birthday to Gloria Gregory who will celebrate her big day on March 11. Birthday wishes also go out to Cody Donahoo, who will celebrate his birthday on March 12. Cody will be 16 years old. Happy birthday and congratulations. We love ya. Love, your Aunt Kellie and Uncle Scotty.

Happy birthday wishes also to my beloved husband, Monty. Monty will be 52 on March 10. Happy birthday ole man from your daughter in Maryland. Love ya. Monty thank you so much for being the understanding, loving patient man that you are.

You have been such a pillar in my life as well as the life of my children. I don't think I ever realized just how much till I saw you walk our daughter down the aisle on her wedding day.

When I see you hold your grandson with such love and admiration. Thank you, Monty, for being you. I love you and happy 52nd birthday.

Birthday wishes also go out to Jason Haley who will be 26 on March 14. Jason, happy birthday from your Mimi and Papaw.

Well I suppose that is all I have for this week. Until next week, may you all be blessed and please remember our men and women still fighting overseas.
