The City of Earlington, Kentucky is accepting sealed bids for two construction projects. The first project consists of approximately 4,500 feet of 8 inch water line. The second project includes 7,500 feet of gravity sewer, 3,000 feet of force main, one duplex lift station and all other items as shown on the construction plans. The water and sewer projects will be bid separately. Davis Bacon wages apply to both projects. A pre-bid conference will be held at Earlington City Hall, 103 W Main St, Earlington, KY on March 25, 2010 at 10:00 AM local time. Separate sealed bids will be received by the City of Earlington, KY at the office of the City Clerk until 10:00 AM, (Local Time) March 29, 2010, and then opened and publicly read aloud.

EARLINGTON CEMETERY 2010 Mowing Bid
For bid: Care of all grounds related tasks for a 10-acre cemetery located in Earlington, Ky. Successful bidder will complete 9 individual mowings, debris removals and trimmings (1 in May, 2 in June, 2 in July, 2 in Aug., and 2 in Sept.) The Contractor shall provide all equipment, fuel and labor necessary to complete the task, and follow manufacturer's recommendations for safe operation of equipment. All monuments, ditches, trees, and banks must have debris removed and trimmed, taking care to return current decorations to their original location. Contractor must remove all accumulated debris from cemetery at the end of each mowing day. All grass areas will be cut at 3 inches each mowing and clippings blown from monuments, walkways and roadways. Contractor must provide with bid, proof of liability insurance and successful bidder will obtain contract license for City of Earlington before start of work.
The City of Earlington reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bids should be delivered to City Hall, City of Earlington, 103 West Main Street, Earlington, KY 42410 no later than 1:00 pm, Tuesday, April 6, 2010.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR RECLAMATION DEFERMENT DUE TO COAL MARKETING PROBLEMS
In accordance with 405 KAR 16:020, notice is hereby given that Rapid Energy, Inc., 2281 Ridgewood Drive, Madisonville, KY 42431 has applied for a coal marketing reclamation deferment for its surface coal mining and reclamation operation, permit number 854-0250. Deferment of reclamation is being requested for approximately 110.3 acres. The operation for which the reclamation deferment is requested is located 0.4 miles south of White Plains in Hopkins County. The surface area is owned by Don Bowles Corporation, Mark One Corporation, Bituminous Resources, Inc., and James Oglesby.
The operation is located at the junction of Gordon Crick Road and Red Hill Road and located 0.8 miles northwest of Pond River. The operation is located on the Graham and Nortonville U.S.G.S. 7 1/2 minute quadrangle map.
The deferment is sought due to a coal marketing problem and is being requested for an initial period of six months. The deferment may be renewed for additional periods up to a maximum of 30 months.
