Tradewater River Fitness Challenge

The challenge includes a 4K run, two-mile canoeing/kayaking and 16.5 mile bike ride. Registration will take place between 6:30 and 8 a.m., with a mandatory pre-race safety meeting at 8:45 a.m. The men's event will begin at 9 a.m. and the women's at 9:10. Proceeds benefit Knights of Columbus.

8th Annual PAC Challenge

Novice and intermediate riders will enjoy the 10- or 22-mile rides. Those who dare to accept the challenge have 41- and 62-mile routes through the beautiful hills of Hopkins and Webster counties to choose from. Riders will enjoy fully-stocked rest stops and free route support along clearly marked routes. All proceeds go to the Pennyrile Area Cyclist "Christmas Bikes" program. Registration opens at 7 a.m.

9/11 Heroes Run 5K and 1 Mile Walk/Run

The 9/11 Heroes Run is a national race series that takes place on or near September 11 of each year. The events, organized by the Travis Manion Foundation, enable families, friends and others to honor fallen heroes and support local organizations working to empower veterans. As part of the events, each year TMF gives up to 50% of the proceeds back to local groups working with veterans and first responders.
