girls’ basketball team got its fourth straight win on Friday

by beating Lyon County 50-34.

Junior Kalveona Pepper got her third straight double-double

and 12th of the season, leading the Lady

Maroons (16-9) with 15 points and 13 rebounds, while

senior Molly Stone got her 14th straight double-double

and 21st of the season with 14 points and 14 boards.

Senior Brynin Carver tacked on 12 points (including

three 3-pointers) and senior Jayda Civils finished with

two points and six assists against the Lady Lyons (17-8).

DAWSON SPRINGS 73, LIVINGSTON CENTRAL 65

DAWSON SPRINGS — The Dawson Springs boys’

basketball team avenged an earlier loss by beating Livingston

Central on Friday.

Junior Justin Putman led the Panthers (14-13) with

18 points, while fellow juniors Kevin Brooks and Austin

Clark put up 17 and 16, respectively. Freshman Braxton

Cotton added 10 against the Cardinals (15-11).

DIXON — The Webster County boys’ basketball

team came up short against Owensboro Catholic on

Friday.

Sophomore Malachi Powell led the Trojans (14-13)

with 17 points (including four 3-pointers) while senior

Ethan Gilbert put up 12 and junior Chatman Ellis added

eight against the Aces (18-8).
