The Hopkins County Central swimming team finished second in a quad meet Saturday with Fort Knox, Ohio County and Butler County.

Fort Knox swept both the boys' and girls' sides of the meet and won the overall title with 529 points. Central came in second at 256 points with the Lady Storm finishing second with 178 points and the Central boys earning 78 points for a third-place finish.

Central's girls' 200-yard freestyle relay team led the team with a first-place finish in 2:18. Relay swimmers were Sydnee Herring, Shelby Abbott, Natalie Richey and Karigan Osborne.

Second-place finishers for Central were the girls' 200 medley relay, Herring (100 backstroke) and Osborne (100 breaststroke).

Central's third-place finishers were the boys' 200 medley relay, girls' 400 freestyle relay, Jordan Majors (200 IM, 500 freestyle), Victoria Hight (100 backstroke), Abbott (200 freestyle) and Herring (50 freestyle).
