PADUCAH — The Hopkins County Central girls’ basketball team lost its regular season finale to McCracken County on Friday.

The Lady Storm (9-19)

defense did well on the

press, forcing 32 turnovers,

but struggled from

the field, shooting just 23

percent while the Lady

Mustangs (12-18) shot a

whopping 54 percent.

Senior TaLana Hardy

led the Central of fense

with 17 points and four

steals, while senior Rickara

Hughes put up 10

points and senior Brittney

Medlen finished with five

points and 11 rebounds.

“We played well enough

to win, but just couldn’t

put the ball in the hole,”

Central coach Todd Webb

said. “Every other area of

the game was good for us.

Really proud of the effort

and how we handled the

adversity of being in bad

foul trouble.”




Dawson Springs girls’ basketball

team fell to Russellville

in its regular season

finale on Friday.

Junior Brooklyn and

Cotton and senior Malaia

Miller led the Lady Panthers

(11-18) with nine

points each, while sophomore

Erin Orten, junior

Paige Hendrix and sophomore

Kaylee Simpson

each put up four. Senior

Erin Woolsey added two

against Russellville (10-18).
