OWENSBORO - The Webster County boys' golf team competed as individuals in the Owensboro Catholic Invitational at Owensboro Country Club on Monday.

Freshman Grant Puckett finished the day with a score of 82.

"Grant had his roughest start that I have seen him have, but he really showed me why he will be great one day," Webster coach Joel Campbell said. "Showed great mental toughness to turn it around in the middle of the tournament and have a really good second half."

The Trojans will next compete in the Dawson Springs Invitational at Pennyrile State Park Golf Course on Saturday.
