Boys basketball

Webster County 75, Crittenden County 36: Malachi Douglas scored 19 points and Hunter McNaughton added 17 points as the Trojans opened up the season with a win. Webster County scored 23 points in both the first and third quarters of the game.

Girls basketball

Central 57, UHA 45: Keke Ikeard scored 16 points for Hopkins County Central High School as the Storm opened the season with a road win. She had plenty of help as Somaya Stafford added nine points, Madison Griggs tallied eight points, and Gabby Baxter finished with seven points for Central (1-0).

Webster County 52, Bowling Green 44: The Lady Trojans are 2-0 with a hard-fought win at home against Bowling Green. Karlie Keeney scored 23 points and Marissa Austin added 15 points for Webster County. Keeney was 11-for-13 from the free throw line on the night for Webster County.

Webster County 74, Bosse 44: Karlie Keeney scored 26 points for Webster County High School in the opening-night win Monday. Sadie Worth and Raigan Price added 14 points apiece and Marissa Austin and Mariah Austin scored 10 points apiece for the Lady Trojans (1-0 overall). Webster County had five players in double figures.
